Mid-day snack: Bottle Guard Halwa
Let’s get cooking!
Lauki (Bottle Gourd) is very rich in water & fibres but is difficult to get your little ones to eat. Disguising it in the form of a dessert allows for nutrition & taste.
-With Ghee in the pan, add the lauki then sautee for 8-10 minutes to get rid of the rawness.
-Add water & bring it to a boil for 10 minutes on a low flame.
-Once cooked well, add the Dates & Dryfruit powders & mix.
-Let it thicken & add elaichi powder & give it a final sautee.
-To garnish, add a few strands of water-soaked Saffron.
Evening snack: Greek Yoghurt
SATURDAYBrekkie: Carrot Porridge
Chop up some carrots and dates and soak them in water. Steam the carrots. Once done, blend it along with the dates for a nice consistency. Heat some ghee in a pan and add this mixture to it. Cook on a medium flame and add boiled milk. After another 2-3 minutes of stirring and heating, your dish is ready!
Mid-Day Snack: Pear-Y-Green
Evening snack: Ragi Kheer
Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a pan. Add 4 tbsp of ragi powder and saute for 3-4 minutes. Add 2 cups of hot water and stir until the mixture is smooth. Add dates powder and blended nuts and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add one or two strands of saffron for garnish.
Mid-day snack: Fruit Salad
Finely dice some apples (after peeling off the outer layer, of course!), chop some bananas, wash your favourite berries, and slice up some papayas. Add some lime before feeding your baby!
Evening snack: Mashed potatoes
Peel 3-4 potatoes. Once done boiling, add it to your mixer and blend. During this process, add 1 tbsp of butter and continue blending till the potatoes are soft and fluffy. Serve in a nice bowl. It’s literally as simple as that :)
